Feedback on the topic of Port Nelson noise management closed 19 October 2021.
The Port Noise options recognise the regional significance of the Port and the ongoing need for the Port to operate, but acknowledges noise is an effect that must be managed. Four options were developed for consideration and feedback.
As part of the development of the Whakamahere Whakatū Nelson Plan, the current provisions for Port noise in the Nelson Resource Management Plan are being reviewed and four options are being considered for the management of Port noise. It this your opportunity to provide feedback on these options. Although we have directly contacted residents who are most affected by Port Noise, anyone can provide feedback.
