Domett Street Improvements:

Domett Street is a narrow, pretty little street, nestled next to our stunning Maitai River.

It is time that we made some upgrades, to make the street safer for all users, and to make sure that it isn't clogged with vehicles. We also want to make it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to get around safely.

We've had some great feedback from residents, and after a few delays, we are now ready to get this work underway.

Transport Choices - Maitai shared pathway:

Nelson City Council was recently awarded funding from Waka Kotahi (New Zealand Transport Agency), for a Transport Choices project to extend the Maitai shared pathway from Bridge Street to Nile Street.

This work will be carried out at the same time as the Domett Street Improvement works. The contractor for this project is Isaac Construction.
