The investigations that we carried out on Friday 20 November identified some issues with the planned alignment of the new stormwater pipe. As a result, the location and alignment of the new pipe will need to be changed.

A section of old sewer pipe was unexpectedly found during the investigation, and this will need to be replaced.

These changes will make sure all the pipes under this section of road are in good condition and will require less maintenance and repairs into the future.

Unfortunately, this means that construction of the project will need to be delayed until early next year to allow enough time to plan the new alignment.
