Work to upgrade the stormwater network around St Vincent Street is moving into its second stage from Monday 29 May 2023, which requires a full road closure at the Hastings Street intersection.

Spotlight can be accessed through their entrance on Hastings Street via Washington Road, customers should follow on-street signage to make their way to the entrance. Access to and from The Warehouse and Countdown retail stores will be restricted to turning right into and left out of their St Vincent Street entry. The route is outlined in the map below.

All of this work will improve stormwater infrastructure to make sure the area can better manage the impact of more frequent heavy rain and future housing development.

Businesses in the area remain open during the seven-month construction period.

Due to this ongoing work, the bus stop on St Vincent Street between The Warehouse and Countdown will be closed. There will be a detour in place for Route 5 via Vanguard Street. The temporary stop will be opposite New World
