To make sure we can carry out the repair work easily, we need to do some tidy up work on some trees on the Grampians.

Above Slip 18 (Collingwood St zigzag) there will be a tree removal operation underway, starting from 19 August. This work will continue around to the back of Fairfield House.

There will also be some tree pruning work occurring between the top of Collingwood Street and the top end of Trafalgar Street (entrance to this track is by Fairfield House driveway entrance).

Once this work is done, the teams will progress to the next stage of work. This will require temporary closures to the Tawa Track above Endeavour St and the Grampians Walkway above Collingwood St.

Please note that tracks will be open to the public outside of construction hours (7:00 am to 5:30 pm) where possible.
