Project complete

4 August 2021

The project to improve flood protection around Orphanage Stream is almost complete. The recent wet weather has slowed the reestablishment of the banks that were affected by the work.

The earth banks on the true left/southern side will be smoothed off and sown with grass as soon as ground conditions dry out a bit. Over the last few weeks, the soil has been too wet to work with.

The earth banks on the true right/northern side are still closed to the public to allow the grass to get well established.

The silt fences will all be removed once the grass is established and ground conditions dry out. We hope you enjoy the new pathway.
