Further update – Watermain Renewal on Nayland Road – Stage 3.

Good progress is being made on the Nayland Road watermain renewal, with Stage 2 almost complete.

From the week of 1 July the work will continue from Aldinga Avenue to Songer Street. As we move into Stage 3, users of Aldinga Avenue (North) will only be able to turn right onto Nayland Road.

During this work our contractor, Schick Construction, will try to allow access to all resident’s driveways. There may be times when they are trenching across driveways which could cause delays and vehicle access won’t be available. Please talk to onsite staff if needed.

To make sure the project is completed quickly and safely, Nayland Road will remain closed to North bound through traffic between Aldinga Ave and Songer Street. Traffic will continue to be detoured down Masefield Street, along Marlowe Street and then onto Songer Street.

We understand this work will be disruptive but replacing the pipe will reduce the risk of costly future failures that are becoming more common with the old pipe. Thank you in advance for your patience.
