We will shortly be starting work to improve the stormwater and water main systems along Gloucester Street and Konini Street.

The water and drainage pipes which serve the area are now 60+ years old and need to be replaced. If we replace these pipes now, it will mean there won't be significant issues or disruption in the future as the area grows and develops.

Work starts 19 April and is programmed to go for 16 weeks (weather dependent).

The work will be completed in two stages:

Stage 1 - Konini St will be closed between Kerr St and 75 Konini St for approximately 6 weeks with access for residents only. Gloucester St will be open during this time.

Stage 2 - Gloucester St will be closed between Vanguard and Konini St for approximately 10 weeks with access up Konini St for residents only during this time.

Access to Konini and Mount St will be via Wellington Street during this time.
