The laneways at Alma Lane and Montgomery Lane are now open!

Alma Lane is one way for traffic from Bridge Street into Buxton Square. Montgomery Lane is the opposite, with one way from Montgomery Square onto Bridge Street. Both have large shared pathways, so cyclists and pedestrians can access the parking squares as required. The garden areas are covered in bark at the moment, and will be planted in the next planting season when the plants (Nikau Palms) are ready to be planted.

A big thank you to the businesses in the area who were affected by these works. These laneways will remain open for pedestrians throughout the entire Bridge to Better project, so people can continue to park in the parking squares and walk to your favourite Bridge Street business!
