Shop Bridge Street. Support Local. Win $150!
To celebrate and support the businesses that make Bridge Street special, we’re launching a Shop & Win competition as part of the Bridge to Better project.
Every time you shop at a participating Bridge Street business between Rutherford and Collingwood Streets, you’ll go in the draw to win $150 in Bridge Bucks to spend right back on Bridge Street.
There are four weekly draws, with winners announced on 20 November, 27 November, 4 December, and 11 December 2025. Each winner can choose one or more Bridge Street businesses to spend their Bridge Bucks in — a great reason to discover somewhere new or revisit your favourites.
You can enter in-store by completing an entry form at the time of your purchase. Every transaction counts as an entry, and there’s no minimum spend required.

Bridge to Better – Shop & Win Terms and Conditions
Promoter:
Nelson City Council (“the Promoter”).
Promotion period:
The promotion runs from Wednesday 12 November 2025 to Wednesday 10 December 2025.
Eligibility:
- Entry is open to anyone who makes a purchase at a participating Bridge Street business located between Rutherford Street and Collingwood Street during the promotion period.
- Employees, contractors, or immediate family members of the Promoter or participating businesses are not eligible to win.
- By entering, participants accept these terms and conditions.
How to enter:
- Every transaction at a participating Bridge Street business counts as one entry.
- Customers do not need to keep or present a receipt.
- There is no minimum spend required.
- Entry is automatic when completing an in-store entry form at the time of purchase.
Prize details:
- One winner will be drawn each Thursday for four weeks on the following dates: 20 November, 27 November, 4 December, and 11 December 2025.
- Each weekly winner will receive $150 "Bridge Bucks" to spend at one or more participating Bridge Street businesses of their choice. This also includes businesses affected by the Alma Street Bridge to Better works - Prego Mediterranean Foods & Comida Cafe / Restaurant, Vivo Hair Salon Buxton Square and Nelson Skin Clinic.
- The winner may choose multiple shops to split their $150 prize between.
- The prize must be spent in full and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Gift cards cannot be purchased using Bridge Bucks/as part of this promotion.
Prize claim and redemption:
- Winners will be contacted by phone using the details provided on their entry form.
- The prize must be claimed within 14 days of being notified.
- Bridge Bucks must be spent within 3 months of nomination.
- Unclaimed prizes may be redrawn at the Promoter’s discretion.
General conditions:
- The Promoter’s decision regarding all matters relating to this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility and to cancel or amend the promotion at any time if circumstances arise outside its control.
- Prizes are not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash.
- The Promoter may use winners’ names and photographs for promotional purposes without further compensation.
- The Promoter will collect and use personal information only for the purposes of administering this promotion and contacting winners, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

Design Our Digger!
Kids, it’s your turn to get creative! As part of the Bridge to Better project, we’re running a fun Design Our Digger competition for young artists aged 13 and under.
Grab a colouring sheet from a participating Bridge Street business and design your dream digger — bright colours, bold patterns, or something completely original!
The winning design will be brought to life on a real Isaac Construction digger working on Bridge Street. It’s a chance to see your artwork rolled out in full size for everyone to enjoy as part of the project.
We’ll be collecting entries weekly, so drop yours back into any participating Bridge Street business or the Customer Service Centre at Civic House before the competition closes on 12 December 2025.
Posters and entry forms are available in stores along Bridge Street between Rutherford and Collingwood Streets.

- Competition ends 5pm Friday, December 12, 2025.
- Entrants must be 13 years or under on Friday, December 12, 2025.
- The judges decision is final.
- All entries remain the property of Nelson City Council.
- Winner will be contacted by phone and publicly announced on Council's social media and/or media channels
- Winning entries and a selection of other entries may be displayed on Council property and/or on Council's social media and/or media channels.
- The winning entry will be required to participate in a photo and story with the wrapped digger when the winning design is installed.
- Prize winner must be a resident of New Zealand.
- Prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
