An area dedicated to the youth of Stoke has been on the cards for a number of years. Back in 2014, the people of Stoke told us that a youth facility was the key thing missing in Nelson's fastest-growing suburb.

The area next to Stoke Memorial Hall (right next to Whanake Youth), has been chosen as the location for the park.

We've been working with Whanake Youth, Nelson City Youth Council, and schools to come up with some concept plans for what this facility could look like. We've asked the general public for feedback and are now working on a design.

We are also increasing the car parking capacity immediately to the west of Stoke Hall so that users of the hall won't be impacted when it re-opens in the future.
