Work is currently underway on Hastings Street to install new stormwater and sewer pipes that will help enable future developments in the Washington Valley area and to allow us to better manage heavy rainfall events.

Part of this work requires work to align the new pipes in Hastings Street and the sewer connection that runs along St Vincent Street. Our contractor will need to carry out work in the middle of St Vincent Street so they can do this work.

This will mean that we will need to close St Vincent Street to northbound traffic, between The Warehouse exit and the temporary Spotlight entrance.

A northbound detour will be in place via Gloucester Street, Vanguard Street and Rutherford Street. Access will still be available so people can visit stores along St Vincent Street, and the southbound lane will be unaffected during this time.

This closure will begin on Friday 4 March 2022 and will last 6 to 8 weeks.
