February Update

Our new pathway is progressing well down Parkers Road, and we are now into our third week of work. Cones are in place to provide a safe route for pedestrians and cyclists as we build this new section of our walking and cycling network.

In the next week or so the work will shift from Parkers Road around to the Muritai Street intersection. Detours on Green Street will also be in place for a short duration in March/April. Please take care when travelling in this area.

To make sure this project is completed as quickly as possible, a second crew will be starting (in about 3-4 weeks time) on Waikare Street. This will mean that we will minimise the disruption for Tahunanui residents as much as possible.

At the end of the project, we will have a wonderful new shared path on Parkers Road and Waikare Street and a new on-road cycling pathway on Muritai Street.
