A short section of retaining wall on Suffolk Road has been tilted for a number of years. We have been monitoring it, and over the past year it has got to the stage where intervention is needed.

In June our engineering contractors identified that it had the potential to be dangerous to the public. We installed two containers in front of it to support the wall and protect the public. A 30km/hr speed limit was put in place in this area.

Site investigations have been completed, and remedial options have been designed. The project will go out to tender, and we will look to start in April / May 2024.
