The stormwater network around Strawbridge Square needs to be upgraded, as flooding can occur in heavy rainfall in the corner of the carpark.
Work will begin on 13 January.
Upgrading the size of stormwater pipes will reduce the chance of flooding occurring, protecting properties in the area and making sure water flows where it needs to go.
Phases of work
Lane closure on Songer Street. Eastbound traffic will be detoured along Neale Ave and Putaitai Street connecting to Main Road Stoke.
Lane shift to keep Songer Street open in both directions.A temporary footpath will be in place around the worksite.
Entrance off Songer Street to close. Vehicles will enter Strawbridge Square via Putaitai Street and exit next to Stoke Library
