In November 2020, contractors began the construction of a new carpark that links Saxton Field Drive and the Velodrome carpark. This project is now complete.
This work includes building the new road and pathways, as well as landscaping in the surrounding area. During the construction period access to the existing gravel track will be closed and pedestrian detours will be in place. The map below shows the construction zone and alternate pedestrian routes marked by the red dots.
The pump track can be accessed from the Velodrome carpark.
Please note: this project is not linked to the Tasman District Council project to upgrade the Champion Road roundabout
