Note: The Council has engaged an independent consultant to process this application. The notification status of the consent has not yet been determined.

What is the current status of the application:

Update note: The information received on 26 February 2026 has been reviewed and is considered an adequate response to the further information request. The Consultant Planner will now proceed with drafting the notification recommendation and this will be reviewed by an Independent Commissioner. The report is anticipated late March / early April with the notification decision to follow. The processing clock has been restarted as of 26 February 2026.

Update note: A response to the request for further information has been received on 26/02/2026 [refer to document library below]. The processing clock will remain ‘on hold’ until the information has been reviewed and determined as a full and complete response.

The application for development at 45-47 Beach Road has been accepted for processing and has started being assessed in more detail by the processing officer and other experts.

At this early stage it is yet to be decided what further information or clarification will be required, and who might be considered an affected party. Because the application will go ‘on hold’ if further information / clarification is required, we cannot advise on a specific timeframe, however, as below we can keep people informed on the key steps of the process.

How can I provide feedback / comments:

Once a notification decision is made, details of any opportunity for making a formal submission (including speaking at a hearing) will be advised.

At this stage, there is no opportunity for neighbours or other people to make a formal submission on the application. However, if you wish to provide comments for our consideration and / or be kept informed of the key processing milestones, you can write to the Council with your feedback.
