Work has been completed on the Paddys Knob reserve redevelopment project and it is now open for the public to enjoy from Queens Birthday weekend (2020).

The work has completely changed the landscape with the removal of 500m2 of under-utilised pavement and introduction of a landscaped grass reserve which now complements the existing viewing platforms. These platforms have been reinforced (and the safety rail raised), to make sure it is safer for everyone.

A natural playground has also been added, so kids can enjoy playing while families can picnic on the new grassed area.

Parking to the area has been reinstated directly in front of the reserve, along with numerous additional parking spaces on Stansell Avenue.

A special feature is the "Glow stone" which has been added to the concrete to improve visibility of the path when it gets dark.

Enjoy Nelson.
