WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

To repair slip damage from the August 2022 weather event, stabilisation work will be carried out in the Tantragee Reserve above 131 and 133 Brook Street. This will reduce the chance of future damage occurring to this area.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Works include: the removal of slip debris, earthworks, construction of a debris fence and remedial planting of the slip site.

To minimise traffic disruption on Brook Street, the old quarry site at the start of the Coppermine Trail will be used by Council’s contractor. This will mean access to the Coppermine Trail from Brook Street will be disrupted for the duration of the project. Alternative access points are available.

DURATION:

4 March 2024 – mid June 2024 (subject to weather).

Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

ALTERNATIVE ACCESS:

Access to the Coppermine Trail is available as usual from Codgers Recreation Hub and Betsy Eyre Track (walking access only). Please follow signage and detours where present.
