This project has been completed.
Back in ex-Cyclone Fehi, the pump station down by the Honest Lawyer was flooded and damaged. To prevent this from happening again, we are constructing a bund to protect the pump station.
The bund will be made out of earth and rock, and be located between the Songer Street Wastewater Pump Station and the Waimea Estuary section of the ‘Great taste trail’ pathway.
This work will get underway at the end of May. It will take about 4 weeks to be completed.
There may be minor disruption to the users of the Great Taste Trail, and staff and signage be there to warn people travelling through the area. We'd like to thank everyone in advance for their patience while this work is underway.
