We are accepting applications for heritage story panel ideas to be located in Nelson this financial year. We have a limited budget, but will assess all applications and help fund the design, production and installation of the best opportunities to share these stories with our community. In particular, we will seek to match any partnership funding or resources offered.
Though in the past Council-funded projects have tended to be traditional interpretation panels located on legs in the ground, we are open to other types of interpretation infrastructure if there is sound reasoning behind it.
We are looking to unveil the panel in next year’s Tuku 22 Whakatū Heritage Month in April. Applications close 8 October 2021.
