On Thursday 27 March 2025, the Hearing Panel approved the parking changes around the Nelson Bus Hub.

The approved recommendations were:

That the Hearing Panel

1. Approves Give Way traffic control device as described in Report R25-54 sections 4.1-4.4 and shown in accompanying attachment 2; and
2. Approves yellow no stopping lines prohibiting parking on Halifax Street as described in Report R25-54 sections 4.5-4.9 and shown in accompanying attachment 3; and
3. Approves Nelson Bus Hub (currently Millers Acre Carpark) as a transport station exclusively for buses and coaches as described in Report R25-54 sections 4.10-4.21 and shown in accompanying attachment 5; and
4. Approves bus stops for regional and tourism buses on Trafalgar Street as described in Report R25-54 sections 4.22-4.26 and shown in accompanying attachment 4; and
5. Approves within Nelson Bus Hub transport station reserved parking for exclusive use by goods and services vehicles as described in Report R25-54 sections 4.27-4.31 and shown in accompanying attachment 5; and
6. Approves within Nelson Bus Hub transport station reserved parking for exclusive use by EBus operator fleet vehicles as described in Report R25-54 sections 4.32-4.35 and shown in accompanying attachment 5; and
7. Approves P2 time restricted parking on Halifax Street as described in Report R25-54 sections 4.36-4.39 and shown in accompanying attachment 3; and
8. Approves Taxi PSV parking on Halifax Street as described in Report R25-54 sections 4.40-4.43 and shown in accompanying attachment 3.
