As we continue to grow, our Smart Little City needs to grow with it. The sewer pipes that take wastewater from the Enner Glynn/Wakatu area, runs down Whakatu Drive, into Annesbrook Drive north and then through to Parkers Road (before being pumped out to the Airport Regional pump station and onwards to our treatment plant).

There has been significant development in this area, and the sewer pipes are under pressure, especially during wet weather events. Upgrading this pipe will help to prevent future sewer overflows, catering for future development in the area as well as minimising the impact of wet weather events.

The new pipe will flow into Annesbrook Drive south and then connect into the Quarantine Road network.
