This work is now complete. A big thank you to the residents for your patience and understanding as this work was underway.

Nelson City Council, alongside its engineering consultants and construction contractors, has been working to repair the damage caused throughout the city by the severe weather event in August 2022. One project high on our priority list is the remedial work needed on Devenish Place.

The road surface, kerb and channels, footpath, and underground services (water, sewer, and stormwater pipes) all needed emergency repair work immediately after the event.

Over the next 12 months, we will be inspecting these underground services and completing any work needed to make sure they are resilient to future weather events.

These inspections will be starting In January 2023, with a CCTV camera being used to inspect the sewer and stormwater pipes.
