Nelson City Council Te Kaunihera o Whakatū is currently seeking nominations for its Community Investment Funding (CIF) Panel, with four community representative positions available.
This is an opportunity to bring your on-the-ground knowledge to support community organisations working with our most vulnerable communities in Nelson. Panel members say:

Panel members will ideally reflect a broad cross section of the community, and have a good knowledge of the community sector, especially those that work with people experiencing loneliness and social isolation, housing issues, and poverty related issues.
The Panel is responsible for reviewing applications and allocating funding to community organisations on behalf of Council’s Community and Recreation Committee.
- There are up to four Panel meetings a year, with times scheduled to accommodate members’ availability.
- Panel members receive meeting fees to compensate them for their time.
- The term for the Panel is three years.
